Social login configuration guides

Use the Social Login Dashboard to configure Facebook, Twitter, Google, and other social login identity providers. If you your preferred provider isn't listed here, see Introduction to custom providers for information about creating and configuring social login providers without using the Dashboard.

Providers marked as deprecated in the following table are no longer are no longer supported for use as social login identity providers. These providers still appear in the Identity Cloud's Social Login Dashboard, but they can't be used for user logins and registrations.

Preconfigured identity providers

Social login identity providers predefined for use with Identity Cloud and with the Social Login Dashboard. Note that most of these IdPs require you to create an app on the identity provider's developer site. That app is then reference when configuring the IdP for use with Identity Cloud.

  If you add support for Sign in with Apple to your website or app users will be able to register and to log on by using their Apple ID.

• Facebook social login guide
  The world’s largest social media network, with more than 2 billion active users each month.

• Foursquare social login guide
  Search-and-discovery app used by more than 50 million people each month.

• Google Social Login Configuration Guide
  Note that, despite some of the wording in the Social Login Dashboard, this is the standard Google IdP and has nothing to do with the deprecated Google+ service.

• LINE social login guide
  Tokyo-based subsidiary of the South Korean internet search giant Naver Corporation.

• LinkedIn OAuth 2.0 social login guide
  Business- and career-oriented social networking site with over 500 million registered users.

• LiveJournal social login guide
  Russian social media service that hosts user blogs, journals, and diaries.

• Microsoft Online social login guide
  Another name for a Microsoft Live account. Live accounts are used to sign in for Microsoft services like Outlook/Hotmail and Xbox Live.

• Mixi social login guide
  Japanese social networking service.

• Odnoklassniki social login guide
  Social networking service popular in Russia.

• QQ social login guide
  Chinese instant messaging service that provides microblogging, social games, music, and group and voice chat software.

• Renren social login guide
  Chinese social networking service used primarily by college students.

  San Francisco-based cloud computing company.

• Sina Weibo social login guide
  Chinese microblogging site (“weibo” is Chinese for “microblogging”) which has approximately 220 million subscribers and 100 million daily users.

• Twitter social login guide
  Social news and networking site with more than 300 million active users each month.

• VK social login guide
  Social media/social networking website based in Russia.

• WeChat social login guide
  Chinese social media application that has nearly 1 billion active users each month.

• Yahoo! Japan social login guide
  The most-visited website in Japan, providing services such as Yahoo! Real Estate, Yahoo! Rikunabi, Yahoo! Autos, Yahoo! Web Hosting, Yahoo! Business Express and more.

• Yahoo! OAuth 2.0 social login guide
  American web services provider that serves content to over 1 billion users each month.

Configurable identity providers

Valid social login identity providers that require additional configuration before they can be used with Identity Cloud. For more information, contact your Identity Cloud representative. For many (if not all) of these providers, you can alternatively create a custom provider to handle social logins and registrations. Using that approach allows you to get the IdP up and running without having to set up a service engagement with Akamai.

  Provides users with secure and seamless digital experiences.
