VPC audit logs (limited availability)
Audit logs are time-stamped records that document events, actions, and changes within a service. They show what happened, who initiated the action, when it occurred, and relevant contextual details that help you understand activity over time. Because audit logs provide an authoritative historical record, they support troubleshooting, monitoring, and security analysis.
Akamai automatically collects audit logs for control plane operations across supported Akamai Cloud services. For VPCs, captured events include actions such as creating, updating, or deleting VPCs and VPC subnets. For the complete list of control plane events captured for VPCs and other Akamai Cloud services, see Events captured in configuration audit logs.
To access and view log data, you must first configure a stream to deliver logs to a destination, such as an Object Storage bucket or a custom HTTPS endpoint. For guidance on setting up a log stream, see Quick start: audit logs.
For more information about streams, destinations, and delivered log formats and contents, see the Logs documentation.
