Managed Databases audit logs
Audit logs are time-stamped records that document events, actions, and changes within a service. They show what happened, who initiated the action, when it occurred, and relevant contextual details that help you understand activity over time. Because they provide an authoritative historical record, audit logs support troubleshooting, monitoring, and security analysis.
Akamai automatically collects and stores audit logs for control plane operations across supported Akamai Cloud services for 90 days.
For Managed Databases, captured events include actions such as provisioning, updating, and deleting databases, applying patches and updates, and resetting root passwords. For a complete list of control plane events captured for Managed Databases and other Akamai Cloud services, see Events captured in configuration audit logs.
To access and view log data, you must first configure a stream to deliver logs to a destination, such as an Object Storage bucket or a custom HTTPS endpoint. For guidance on setting up a log stream, see Quick start: audit logs.
For more information about streams, destinations, and delivered log formats and contents, see the Logs documentation.
