This is a security-focused release that includes a new Debian image to patch several vulnerabilities in runc, the container runtime used by Kubernetes.

Kubernetes v1.34 is now available on LKE. Additionally, this release include updates to existing Kubernetes versions, CoreDNS, and NVIDIA drivers.

Identity and Access in Cloud Manager is now available is in Limited Availability. Identity and Access in Cloud Manager is used to manage user identities within an account and manage operations that those identities may perform. Identity and Access uses the role-based access control (RBAC) model to authorize operations on entities.

This includes updated GPU drivers, upgrades to Kubernetes versions, CoreDNS, the Linode Cloud Controller Manager (CCM), and the Linode Block Storage CSI driver.

Managed Databases is now available with the Premium plan. The new Premium plan is designed for a resource-intensive use cases. It removes the unpredictability of shared infrastructure by offering exclusive access to the latest hardware and system resources, optimized for intense and sustained workloads. The key features of the Premium plan are:
