Nov 2, 2026 — Monitoring for Akamai Inference
in about 3 hours
This release expands monitoring capabilities to Akamai Inference (Beta) and introduces enhancements to the metrics dashboard to support Akamai Inference.
Monitoring for Akamai Inference (Beta)
Metrics and alerts are now supported for Akamai Inference (Beta).
Metrics provide quantitative data about performance over time. You can view metrics in dashboards and retrieve them programmatically using the Linode API.
Alerts turn raw monitoring data into actionable information by notifying you when a service starts operating outside of expected patterns.
To learn more about Akamai Inference and how to join the beta, see the Akamai Inference product page.
Metrics dashboard enhancements
Several enhancements have been introduced to support the unique visualization and monitoring needs of Akamai Inference, including:
- Stacked bar charts. A new chart type displays multiple metric series stacked within each time interval, making it easier to compare data.
- Compact chart legends. Compact legends replace the table-based legends found in other metrics dashboards. The simplified legends display only series names and colors, while detailed metric values are available in tooltips that appear when you hover over a chart.
- Global group by segmented control. A new segmented control replaces the group by menu found on other metrics dashboards, making it easer to group all widgets by dimensions relevant to inference telemetry, such as model name or API key.
- Tabbed navigation. Dashboard widgets are organized into logical groups using tabs, which makes it easier to find relevant metrics.
- KPI cards. KPI cards provide at-a-glance summaries of key metrics.
