Create a stream

A stream batches logs for supported Akamai Cloud services and delivers them to a configured destination.

Before you create a stream, ensure that:

• You meet the authentication and access requirements for managing streams and destinations
• You've already created a destination, or have destination details on hand to create it as part of the stream creation workflow

To create a stream in Cloud Manager:

1. Log in to Cloud Manager, expand Monitor in the main menu, and select Logs.

2. On the Logs page, select the Streams tab.

3. Click Create Stream.

4. Enter a name for your stream.

5. Select the stream type: Audit logs or Kubernetes API audit logs

6. Enter the destination details, including the destination type and name.

   If you enter the name of an existing destination, the delivery details are automatically populated. If you enter a name for a new destination, you're prompted to provide the required details. See Log destinationsA for more information about these fields.

7. (Optional) Test the connection.

8. Click Create Stream.
