Test the IDP configuration (beta)

Make sure that you test users can log in through SSO before enforcing it for your whole account.

To test single sign-on yourself:

  1. Create a new Linode account for yourself. Using a separate account leaves your main account unaffected in the event your test fails.
  2. Go to Manage SSO enforcement > IDP Configuration > click SSO Enforcement.
  3. Add your test account email as an SSO-Required User.
  4. Log in to Cloud Manager with your test account.

To add test users other than yourself:

  1. Add an email address to SSO-Required Users.
  2. Have them log in to Cloud Manager.

If successful, the configuration is correct.
If users encounter errors or can’t log in, check and update your IDP configuration details and the metadata you shared with your IDP.
