Enforce two-factor authentication (2FA) for the account

📘

This information is for an admin requiring two-factor authentication across an entire account. If you're an individual user looking to turn on 2FA for your own account, see Manage 2FA on a user account.

After you turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account, you need to select which users are required to use it. Enforcing 2FA doesn't automatically apply to every user by default. You can select all or specific users. Anyone you don't select can turn on 2FA in their profiles if they want to.

To require 2FA for the account:

  1. Log in to Cloud Manager.
  2. In the main menu, select Administration > Identity & Access> Settings > Manage 2FA Enforcement
  3. SelectEnforce two-factor authentication on this account.
  4. Select the users who need to use two-factor authentication (2FA).
📘

Sort users by selection status Selected firstor Not selected first. The sort order freezes when you open the page or explicitly refresh it. Selecting or deselecting individual rows does not immediately reorder the list. Click Refresh to update the order based on your current selections.

  1. Review your changes, and select I understand that my changes apply immediately upon saving and block newly-selected users from logging in until they configure two-factor authentication..
  2. Click Save.

The users you just added to the list will receive an email with instructions to set up two-factor authentication for their accounts.
