Assign or unassign entities to an alert

You can assign or unassign entities for an alert at any time.

  1. Log in to Cloud Manager, expand Monitor in main menu, and select Alerts.
  2. Use the search, filter, and sort tools to locate the alert you want to modify.
  3. Select Edit from the options menu. The Edit page appears.
  4. Use the search and filter tools to locate the entity you want to assign or unassign.
  5. Select an entity to assign it to the alert, or clear the selection to unassign it.
  6. Repeat the assignment or unassignment steps until all required changes are complete.
  7. Click Save to apply the updated entity assignments.

It may take up to five minutes for your changes to be applied. You can monitor the alert's status on the Definitions tab of the Alerts page. A status ofIn Progress means your changes are still being processed. The alert will return to its previous status when complete.

If you want to disable an alert for all entities, consider disabling the alert instead.
