Distributed Compute Region plans

To deploy a Compute Instance to a distributed compute region, you'll need a Dedicated CPU Compute Instance plan.

Dedicated CPU Compute Instances provide you with dedicated CPU resources. Their vCPU cores are competition-free to ensure there is no CPU-related performance degradation. You can run your production applications with confidence that performance won't be impacted by others. These Compute Instances are CPU-optimized and can sustain CPU resource usage at 100% for as long as your application or workload needs.

There are a few key differences between Dedicated CPU Compute Instance plans in core versus distributed regions:

  • Number of plans and plan specifications. There are six Dedicated CPU plans with varying levels of resources to meet the needs of your application or workload.
  • Plan pricing. Pricing starts at $43.20 per month ($0.0648 per hour). For pricing details, see the Linode Plan section of the Cloud Manager Create form, or use the API.
  • Outbound network transfer. Outbound network transfer is not included in these plans. Also, transfer isn't pooled with transfer from other services. Transfer is billed at a rate of $0.01/GB. See Network transfer usage and costs for more information.
