Identity and Access audit logs

Audit logs are time-stamped records that document events, actions, and changes within a service. They show what happened, who initiated the action, when it occurred, and relevant contextual details that help you understand activity over time. Because audit logs provide an authoritative historical record, they support troubleshooting, monitoring, and security analysis.

Audit logs of login events are now available for Identity and Access in Cloud. Audit logs are time-stamped records of Linode APIv4 operations and login events for supported services. They capture user and system activity in structured JSON Lines (JSONL) format. Audit logs provide an authoritative record of changes and events, forming a critical foundation for security investigations and configuration tracking.

Akamai automatically collects audit logs for supported services. To access and view this log data, you need to create a stream and configure a destination, such as an Object Storage bucket or a custom HTTPS endpoint.

To get started with audit logs, see the Logs documentation.
