How it works

Depending on the use case, this behavior can optimize delivery of various types of content, ranging from streamable videos to downloadable objects. By specifying characteristics such as content size, type, or popularity, you can designate the content that you want this behavior to apply to.

Products that use this behavior

This behavior is automatically included in the Default Rule for these products:

• Adaptive Media Delivery
• Download Delivery
• Object Delivery

It's required in the Default Rule with these products. An error message is revealed if you delete it, and you'll need to re-add it. However, you can also include it in a child rule, which lets you override what's set in the Default Rule. This way, you can set different match criteria to be met to apply this behavior for specific requests.
