Forward Header Enrichment
Add the Enhanced Proxy Detection with GeoGuard - Forward Header Enrichment behavior to a unique rule in your property. As requests come in to the Akamai edge that meet its match criteria, a header is generated that reveals if a connecting IP address is associated with an anonymous proxy.
Before you begin
This behavior is one of two ways you can generate this header for inclusion with a request. To determine which method works best for you, see the detailed instructions for this header.
Why you need it
This feature can be helpful if you need to check if the requester is a proxy, before you provide access to your content.
How it works
The Enhanced Proxy Detection with GeoGuard - Forward Header Enrichment behavior works in conjunction with Enhanced Proxy Detection. Add Forward Header Enrichment to a unique rule in your property for more control of your request matching. As a matching request comes from a source that GeoGuard has identified as a proxy, the header is generated and sent.
This behavior is currently supported for use with the Adaptive Media Delivery, Download Delivery, and Object Delivery products.
