Quick Retry
Quick Retry detects slow forward throughput while fetching a delivery object and attempts a different forward connection path to avoid congestion.
How it works
Once you enable Quick Retry, the target forward throughput is set based on the product in use:
- Adaptive Media Delivery and Download Delivery. 5 Mbps.
- Object Delivery. 2 Mbps.
When the transfer rate drops below this rate during a connection attempt, quick retry is enabled and a different forward connection path is used.
You can change this value with the help of your Akamai account representative, who can add the Quick Retry Override behavior to your property.
