Edit an alert definition
When editing an alert, only the entities you have access to are shown. The alert may apply to additional entities that aren't visible to you. Any changes you make to the alert definition will affect all associated entities, which may include entities you don't see listed.
To edit an alert definition:
- Log in to Cloud Manager, expand Monitor in the main menu, and select Alerts.
- Use the search, filter, and sort tools to locate the alert definition you want to edit.
- Select **Edit ** from the options menu.
- Make the required changes. The following changes are permitted:
- System alerts: You can assign or unassign entities.
- User alerts: You can edit all definition details except for the selected service.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
