Real-time Connector Metrics using Dynatrace SIEM provider
You can integrate EAA with Dynatrace SIEM to send EAA connector metrics and visualize the data in Dynatrace.
Note:This feature is in limited-availability (LA) and can be enabled in your contract by contacting Akamai support.
Follow these steps to configure Dynatrace SIEM and EAA.
Generate an access token with ingest-metrics permissions in Dynatrace
You must generate an access token in Dynatrace with i_ngest-metrics_ permissions scope. See Generate an access token in Dynatrace documentation.
An example is shown below:
Send Connector metrics to Dynatrace SIEM provider
Follow this procedure to send the connector metrics to Dynatrace SIEM provider:
- Log in to the Enterprise Center.
- In the Enterprise Center navigation menu, select Application Access > General Settings > Settings > Company Settings.
- Go to the System monitoring SIEMs section.
- Click Add SIEM.
- For What do you want to stream? Select Metrics
- For Which SIEM? Select Dynatrace
- For Enter your SIEM connection information provide the following:
Encryption Token. Provide the token
Server. Provide the endpoint URL for your dynatrace account. - Click Test Connection, to make sure EAA can communicate with the SIM server successfully. After the connection is established successfully, click Next.
- Check that the type of Metrics is set to Connector Metrics.
- Under Status, toggle the switch to SIEM is Enabled.
- Click Save SIEM.
- Under System monitoring SIEMs, you will see a new entry which shows the SIEM server, the integration type, the streamed data, and if the integration is enabled or not.
For example, Dynatrace has been enabled to receive Connector metrics:
Subscription to the SIEM is created. You can create dashboards in Dynatrace to see the different CPU, memory, and network connector metrics.
