Customize EAA Login Portal for an IdP

Customize the EAA Login Portal for each of your identity provider's (IdPs). In EAA Management Portal go to Identity > Identity providers and select your IdP. In Settings open CUSTOMIZATION and configure EAA Login Portal user interface for your users (for example add unique logos of your organization, or change the color theme for the portal, customize portal URL and texts of the welcome banner, page title, or legal disclaimer).

If you have multiple identity providers (IdPs) you have to configure EAA Login Portal user interfaces separately.

These options are available for customizing your organization's login portal:

  • Use application categories to logically organize the applications in the EAA Login Portal.
  • Add logos and images to the Login Portal user interface.
  • Configure, enable, or reset a color theme for Login Portal.
  • Customize password reset URL and new user signup URL in the Login portal and enter the specific URL for the password reset link and new user sign up link that is provided to an end user.
  • Configure the Login Portal language and customize the text that appears in the welcome banner, page title, legal disclaimer, username hint, password change label and new user signup label for the Login Portal. EAA supports English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Polish.
  • Change the default browser tab name for the Login Portal
  • Embed the EAA Login portal inside another organization’s iFrame.

Users can access EAA Login Portal on a mobile device or a tablet.

All of the customization features support responsive user interface and work on mobile devices and tablets.

Application categories

Create and assign a category to an application to logically organize the applications in the EAA Login Portal. Application categories organize how applications appear for users in EAA Login Portal. In Login Portal, users see a sidebar with categories. When they select a category, they see only the applications that are assigned to selected category. This allows users to locate the applications they need.

Create an application category

By default, an application is assigned as uncategorized. You can assign multiple applications to an individual category but you cannot assign a single application to multiple categories.

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select System > Application groups.

  3. In Application categories click Add category.

  4. In Category name type name for your category.
    This name appears in the Login Portal.

  5. In Description type a brief description for the category.

  6. Click Create category.

Assign a category to an application

By default, an application is in the Uncategorized category.

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select Applications.

  3. Select the application that you want to assign to the category.

  4. In Settings > GENERAL > Application identity select your Category for the app.

  5. Click Save and Exit.

Edit or remove an application from a category

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select System > Application groups.

  3. In Application Categories click Edit category icon next to the selected category.

    a. To change a color of the category label, click on it.
    You can enter hex code of a color to use it.

    a. Change the name or description of the category.

    a. To add or remove an application click Add or remove applications.
    Assign Applications appears.

    a. To assign an application to the category, select the application name in Available Applications. To assign all of the available applications, click Select All.
    The selected applications move to Assigned Applications.

    a. To unassign an application from the category, select the application name in Assigned Applications. To unassign all of the available applications, click Deselect All.
    The selected applications move to Available Applications.

    a. Click Done.

  4. To remove an assigned application:
    Click the Delete icon next to the application.

  5. Click Yes.

  6. Click Save changes.

Add logos and images to the Login Portal login page

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select Identity > Identity providers.

  3. Select the identity provider that you want to configure.

  4. In Settings select CUSTOMIZATION.

  5. For the Logo, Background Image, and Favicon click Choose File and select an image for each.

    The favicon image file cannot exceed 10 KB.

  6. Click Save and go to MultiFactor.
    To finish your work later you can click Save and exit and keep your changes hidden.

  7. Deploy the identity provider.

Change a color theme for the Login Portal

Create a theme for the EAA Login Portal and define the colors that are used for specific areas of the portal. You can create multiple themes and make them available for your users.

After you create or modify a theme, preview it, and enable it. If necessary, you can return to the default theme.

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select Identity > Identity providers.

  3. Select the identity provider that you want to configure.

  4. In Settings select CUSTOMIZATION.

  5. In Theme select Create new theme.

    a. In Name type name for your theme.

    a. For the theme primary color, primary text color, and other areas of the portal listed click on each color and change it.
    You can enter hex code of a color to use it.

    a. Click Save.

  6. To edit a theme, click Edit Theme and modify the colors.

  7. To enable a theme, click Enable, and click Save and exit.

  8. To reset to the default theme, click Reset to default, and click Save and exit.

Preview the color theme for the Login Portal

  1. Log in to EAA Management Portal.

  2. In the EAA Management Portal navigation menu, select Identity > Identity providers.

  3. Select the identity provider that you want to configure.

  4. In Settings select CUSTOMIZATION.

  5. In Theme click the preview icon next to your theme.

  6. In the preview window, test your theme. Click the buttons reserved for various areas of the Login Portal to preview the theme.

  7. Exit the preview window.
