Synopsis

Create a role.

Syntax

New-IAMRole [-Body] <Object> [[-EdgeRCFile] <String>] [[-Section] <String>] [[-AccountSwitchKey] <String>]
 [-ProgressAction <ActionPreference>] [<CommonParameters>]

Description

Creates a custom role. Roles exist at the account level regardless of group, but are constrained by a contract type. If you create a role under one contract type, you can't apply that role to groups belonging to a different contract type, even if they're in the same account.

-AccountSwitchKey

Account switch key, for use when you have access to multiple accounts and need to specify which one to use. Run Get-AccountSwitchKey to list the account switch keys available to you.
