Device statuses
This page explains the device statuses you may see on the Devices page in Akamai MFA. Understanding these definitions can help you troubleshoot issues, manage user devices, and maintain a secure authentication setup in your organization.
| Status icon | Status description |
|---|---|
| Enabled. The device is active in Akamai MFA and if assigned to a user, can be used for authentication. | |
| Disabled. The device is inactive and can't be used for authentication, but it remains in the system and can be re-enabled. | |
| Disabled unrecoverable. The device is permanently inactive because the user removed their account in the Akamai MFA mobile app. Devices with this status can't be re-enabled. | |
| Deleted. The device has been permanently removed from the system and is no longer available. It's retained only for audit and historical purposes. |
