Device statuses

This page explains the device statuses you may see on the Devices page in ​Akamai MFA​. Understanding these definitions can help you troubleshoot issues, manage user devices, and maintain a secure authentication setup in your organization.

Status iconStatus description
Enabled. The device is active in ​Akamai MFA​ and if assigned to a user, can be used for authentication.
Disabled. The device is inactive and can't be used for authentication, but it remains in the system and can be re-enabled.
Disabled unrecoverable. The device is permanently inactive because the user removed their account in the ​Akamai MFA​ mobile app. Devices with this status can't be re-enabled.
Deleted. The device has been permanently removed from the system and is no longer available. It's retained only for audit and historical purposes.
