On macOS Big Sur, ETP Client may show an unprotected status when routers or wireless networks are configured to send IPv6 stateless address auto-configuration (SLAAC) messages. While a user can still use the Internet in this situation, SIA threat protection may be temporarily disabled on the user's computer. Akamai is currently investigating a solution for this issue. However, you can work around it by completing one of these steps:
Disable IPv6 on computers with macOS Big Sur.
Disable IPv6 SLAAC messages on routers and configure the routers to use DHCPv6.
An SIA administrator can access and download the latest version of the client, as well as previous versions.
