Configure access control

Access control features are configurable in a policy:

  • Acceptable Use Policy and Application Visibility and Control (AVC). Defines access to websites and web applications.

  • Data Loss Prevention. Defines access to sensitive data that's uploaded to the Internet.

  • Access by File Type. Allows you to block or monitor the download and upload of specific file types.

To configure access control features in a policy:

  1. In the Threat Protection menu of Enterprise Center, select Policies > Policies.

  2. Click the name of the policy that you want to edit. To create a policy, see Create a policy.

  3. Click the Access Control tab.

  4. To configure an AUP and control access to web applications, see Configure application visibility and control.

  5. To configure DLP, see Create and manage a DLP dictionary and Assign a DLP dictionary to a policy.

  6. To configure access based on file type, see Access by file type.

  7. Click Save. If you want to save and deploy the policy, click Save and Deploy.
