Activate the security connector
Before you begin
Make sure you have the one-time code that is required for activation. For more information, see Generate an activation code.
The code that you generate in SIA is required to activate the security connector. Complete this procedure to activate the security connector.
To activate the security connector:

In the Security Connector main menu, press 3 or use the arrow keys to select Activate VM, and press Enter.

Press A to enter the activation code.

Before entering the activation code, you must select the security connector type. By default, DNS Forwarder is selected. To change the type, press T.

Choose the Security Connector type that you want to activate. Do one of the following:
- To activate Security Connector as a DNS Forwarder, enter D and press Enter.
- To activate Security Connector as an HTTP Forwarder, enter H and press Enter.
- To activate Security Connector as a Sinkhole, enter S and press Enter.

Press Enter.

When prompted, enter the activation code, and press Enter. A message indicates when the Security Connector is activated.

Press any key to return to the main menu.

After the security connector is activated, confirm that the security connector shows an Online status. See Security Connector status.
