Akamai often enhances and improves Security Connector with major and minor releases, as well as security patches. The version number indicates the sort of updates that are included in a release.
Security Connector versioning
Akamai uses this convention for Security Connector version numbers:
<major>.<minor>.<patch>
where:
<major>
is the number that's associated with a major software upgrade. A release that changes this number includes new features or significant enhancements. These changes may alter Security Connector behavior or architecture.<minor>
is the number that's associated with a minor software release. A release that changes this number usually consists of minor features or enhancements.<patch>
is the number that's associated with a software patch. A patch release usually addresses a major security vulnerability or resolves issues in Security Connector.
