Add a NAT Gateway IP address

Beta Attaches a specific, pre-reserved public IPv4 address to an existing NAT Gateway.

  • The NAT Gateway can't have autoscaling enabled (use_autoscaling must be false).
  • The IP address you are adding must already be reserved in your account. It can't be in use by another service and it must be in the same region as the VPC.
  • The operation fails if adding this address causes the NAT Gateway to exceed its maximum public IP allocation limit.
  • Upon successful assignment, ports 0-1023 on the new IP address are automatically reserved for system use.
