Detach a volume

Detach a Block Storage volume from a Linode. When you delete a Linode, any volumes attached to it are automatically detached.

Permissions and scopes

To call this operation, you need permissions, based on the model you're using:

Identity and access permissions. Your user needs a role with these permissions. Learn more.
- Permissions: detach_volume
OAuth scopes. Your user needs these scopes assigned. Learn more.
- Scopes: volumes:read_write, linodes:read_write
