Proxy
Description
Match based on whether the incoming IP address is acting as a proxy. The edge platform determines whether the IP address is a proxy.
Cloudlets Supported
All Cloudlets except Application Load Balancer support this match type.
Fields
For this match type, you complete the following fields:
Field Type | Description |
---|---|
proxy | You can match by anonymous proxy server, transparent proxy server, or either option default. While anonymous proxy servers hide the originating IP address, transparent proxy servers include the originating IP address in the HTTP header's X-Forwarded-For (XFF) value. Note: If a client connects to the edge platform using an HTTP proxy or a load balancer, the X-Forwarded-For (XFF) header identifies the originating IP address of that client. |
client IP | Select whether to use the client IP address from the connecting IP address, the X-Forwarded-For header value, or either option. For Proxy matches, the connecting IP address would be from the proxy server, and the XFF Header would include the originating IP address. |
Operators
This match type does not include operators.
