Cloudlet activation times
The following are the average activation times for each Cloudlet:
| Cloudlet | Average Activation Time |
|---|---|
| Application Load Balancer | 30 seconds to 1 minute |
| API Prioritization | 30 seconds to 1 minute |
| Audience Segmentation | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Edge Redirector | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Forward Rewrite | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Phased Release | 30 seconds to 1 minute |
| Request Control | 30 seconds to 1 minute |
| Visitor Prioritization | 30 seconds to 1 minute |
Extended activation times
Policy activation times are typically as specified in the table above but may occasionally take longer due to temporary system load. For non-shared policies, activation duration can increase significantly when multiple properties are associated, as each property requires a separate activation. To reduce activation time for policies with multiple properties, consider using a shared policy (see Key concepts and terms to learn which Cloudlets support shared policies).
