Specify stream authentication
If a stream is set up in Control Center to have username and password protection, you’ll need to enter these credentials in the IAS UI for IAS to authenticate the stream. If an encoder is sending data for this kind of stream into IAS, the Stream Configuration and Status UI displays the Auth error
status message in the streams table and the Action column contains a wheel icon.
After you start publishing data from an encoder, go to the Stream Configuration tab to find the wheel icon and follow these steps.
-
Click the wheel icon to display the Stream ID Authentication dialog box.
-
Enter your user name and password in the dialog box and click OK.
The user name is the Ingest CP Code from MSL 4 stream setup.
If you enter incorrect credentials or no credentials, you’ll see Failed Authentication as the status and the action wheel icon will be displayed. The Failed Authentication status and the action wheel icon can also appear if the stream has been configured incorrectly in Control Center.
