Overview

Routes connect independent service hostname sets and environments within a workspace. This mapping directs user traffic from the requested domain to the environment's configuration, which then serves content from your defined origin.

To serve traffic successfully, you need to activate both the service hostname set and its target environment on the same network (either staging or production) so they can communicate and function together. See How activation works for more details.
