Activate from a service hostname set
During initial activation, you have to activate the service hostname set and the environment it routes to. This is because a service hostname set won’t work without an active environment.
- If you haven’t done so already, route your service hostname set to an environment.
- Review and confirm all service hostnames in your service hostname set have been verified. Make sure you also review the configuration for the environment the set is routed to.
- In the service hostnames view, click Activate.
- Your environment should already be selected for activation since it hasn’t been activated yet.
- Select either the staging or production network. This will activate both your service hostname set and environment to the same network.
- Your service hostname set is also selected for activation by default. If you only want to activate your environment, you can deselect the set.
- Click Run checks.
- Review your activation summary and any notifications, and click Activate.
A successful activation message displays once activation is complete. - Click OK to navigate back to your environment page.
Your version number, v1, should now display an Active status next to both your environment and service hostname set names.
