Activate a service hostname set

Following the initial activation, you can activate service hostname sets and environments either independently or in tandem.

By activating a service hostname set independently, you can add, remove, or editing service hostnames, and adjust routes without impacting environment-wide settings.

To activate service hostname sets:

  1. Make and review any changes to your service hostname sets. If you make changes to an active version of a set, a new version is automatically created.
  2. Navigate to the service hostname set tab from either your workspace or an individual environment page.
  3. Click Activate.
  4. Select a network. Select the same network where your routed environment is currently active. Otherwise they won’t be able to function together.
  5. Select any new service hostname set versions you want to activate.
  6. If any new environment versions are available, you can optionally select them to include in the activation:
    • For an independent activation: Leave these unselected to only activate your service hostname sets.
    • For a tandem activation: Select the environment version you wish to deploy alongside your hostname sets.
  7. Click Run checks.
  8. Review your activation summary and notifications, and click Activate.
A successful activation message displays once the process is complete.
  9. Click OK to navigate back to your environment page.
Your version number should now display an Active status next to your service hostname set.
