Activate an environment

Following the initial activation, you can activate environments and service hostname sets either independently or in tandem.

By activating an environment independently, you can modify configurations, such as specific rules, variables, and default settings without altering associated service hostname sets or routes.

To activate an environment:

  1. If you haven’t done so already, create a new environment version.
  2. Make, review, and save your configuration changes.
  3. Once you’re ready to activate, navigate to your environment page and click Activate.
  4. Select a network.
  5. Optionally, choose any routed service hostname sets you’d like to include in your activation.
    • For an independent activation: Leave these unselected.
    • For a tandem activation: Select the versions of the hostname sets you wish to deploy alongside your environment.
  6. Click Run checks.
  7. Review your activation summary and notifications, and click Activate.
A successful activation message displays once the process is complete.
  8. Click OK to navigate back to your environment page.
Your version number should now display an Active status next to your environment.
