Edit settings for a service hostname

While all service hostnames in a set share settings by default, you can edit them on an individual service hostname-level. Any settings you override for an individual service hostname persist if you change the set’s settings.

To edit a service hostname’s settings:

  1. From the Control Center menu, click Content delivery > CDN > Delivery Manager.
  2. In the Workspaces page, click the workspace that contains the set you want to edit.
  3. Open service hostnames:
    • Workspace level: Go to the Service hostnames tab within a workspace to view all of its service hostnames and sets.
    • Environment level: Go to the Environments tab within a workspace and click the environment that contains the set you want to edit. Next, go to the Service hostnames tab to view only the sets routed to that environment.
  4. Select the set that contains the service hostnames you want to edit.
  5. In the Service hostnames table, select a checkbox for a service hostname you want to edit.
  6. Click the pencil icon. The Edit settings modal opens.
  7. Make any changes related to the edge hostname assignment:
    • To share an existing edge hostname across multiple service hostnames, select it from the dropdown.
    • To create a new edge hostname, clickCreate new and enter the edge hostname prefix. The suffix is fixed and derived from the secure network selection you made when creating a workspace.
    • Select the IP type. Make sure the version you select is compatible with what your application or site can support.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Once you're ready with your changes, click the global Save at the top of the page.
