Delivery Manager API

The Delivery Manager API provides a modular, programmatic interface designed to manage Akamai delivery configurations using an automation-first, decoupled object model.

Moving away from monolithic architecture, it breaks configurations down into independent, reusable, and version controlled components managed inside workspaces. Similar to a Git repository, each workspace holds one application with multiple environments representing distinct lifecycle stages, such as development, testing, or production. Environments deploy CDN traffic-handling logic by referencing rule sets—modular units that can be individually versioned, delegated, or shared across teams. To keep things independent, service hostnames and origins are managed as standalone, workspace-level objects with their own independent lifecycles, completely isolated from your core application rules.
