Apply a default boomerang version for your company

Use a default boomerang version to maintain control of your company's mPulse environment.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have mPulse app administrator privileges and you have considered the potential issues when you Upgrade or change a boomerang version.

mPulse boomerang versions correspond to boomerang releases. You can choose either a fixed value (for example, 1.571.0) or you can choose the Use System Default value for your company. When an mPulse app is created, the default boomerang version in Company Settings is applied to the app. If a default version is not set in Company Settings (for example, 1.571.0), then mPulse uses the System Default value.

  • Example 1. mPulse user creates an app configured with a fixed boomerang
    version
. A user creates an app and applies boomerang version 1.610.0 in the app
configuration. At that time, the default boomerang version in Company Settings is
1.506.0. At a later time, the default boomerang version changes to 1.612.0. In this
case, the app's boomerang version is unchanged and remains at 1.610.0.

  • Example 2. mPulse user creates an app configured with Company or System
    Default
. A user creates an app and applies the Company or System Default in the
app configuration. At that time, the default boomerang version in Company Settings was
configured to boomerang version 1.506.0. At a later time, the default boomerang
version changes to 1.612.0. In this case, the app's boomerang version changes from
    1.506.0 to 1.612.0.
