Establish an SSL certificate

To allow for secure communication between edge servers and head units of vehicles, you need to maintain a valid SSL certificate for the edge servers contacted. You can establish a valid SSL certificate in Certificate Provisioning System in ​Akamai Control Center​.

1. Go to ☰ > CDN > Certificates.

2. Create a certificate enrollment.

   The SSL certificate name must match the name of the application hostname.

   The most recommended settings include:

   • Using server name indication (SNI) certificates.

   • Including a test domain in the subject alternate names of your certificate.
