Bandwidth and cars reports

The bandwidth and cars dashboard reports show OTA traffic activity registered under one CP code that affects bandwidth consumption and the total number of individual vehicles that generate OTA traffic.

The Bandwidth Last 90 Days report shows the total amount of data or the amount of data for the selected geographical regions consumed by OTA traffic over a selected period of time that is no longer than 90 days. You can use the bandwidth report to learn about traffic patterns, the amount of data that you distribute, and spikes or troughs in usage.

The Cars in Month report shows the total number of individual vehicles that communicated with the OTA servers across all monitored geographical regions last month.

Search options

The bandwidth and cars reports show OTA traffic registered under a selected CP code.
You can select a CP code from the CP code drop-down at the top of the OTA Updates page.

The report tracks bandwidth usage in the following geographical regions:

  • North America

  • South and Central America

  • Europe, Africa, and the Middle East

  • Asia Pacific

By default, each geographical region filter shows the following additional information about its highest bandwidth peak - the largest total amount of data consumed by OTA traffic in a five-minute period over the course of 90 days.

  • Date and Time
The date and time of the highest peak.

  • Peak Value
The value of the highest peak in gigabytes per second (Gbps).

By default, the All Regions filter shows the following additional information about the highest bandwidth peaks across all monitored regions:

  • Date and Time
The date and time of the highest peak.

  • Peak Values
The total value of the highest peaks across all monitored regions in gigabytes per second (Gbps).

You can filter the bandwidth data in the following combinations:

  • By geographical region-the bandwidth usage graph for the selected region appears.

  • By selected geographical regions-the maximum value bandwidth graph for the selected regions appears.

  • By all monitored regions-the maximum value bandwidth graph for all monitored regions appears.

Bandwidth graph

The vertical axis of the graph shows the used bandwidth in megabits per second (Mbit/s). By default, the horizontal axis shows progression over a 90-day period.
