Rollback to the standalone EAA or ETP Client

In case you would like to rollback to the standalone EAA or ETP Client, do the following:

1. Uninstall ​Akamai​ ​Zero Trust Client​.
2. Install the standalone client(s):
   • To install EAA Client, see the EAA Client installation guidelines.
   • To install ETP Client, see the ETP Client installation guidelines.

In the future, all new features and enhancements will be added to ​Zero Trust Client​ instead of ​EAA Client​.

EAA Client versions are supported for 15 months after its release. Note the following:

• EAA Client 2.8.1 on Windows and macOS is supported until September 2024.
• EAA Client 2.8.1 and later is supported on Ubuntu until August 2026.
• EAA Client 2.1.0 mobile app for iOS and Android is supported until September 2024.

All new Threat Protection features and improvements are now exclusive to ​Zero Trust Client​. ​​Akamai​ does not plan to release a new version of ​ETP Client​.

​ETP Client​ versions are supported for 15 months after its release. Note the following:

• ETP Client​ 4.4.1 on Windows is supported until September 2024.
• ETP Client​ 3.8 on macOS is supported until September 2024.
