Contextual menu, icons, and client status
Manage ZTC with the tray bar (Windows) or menu bar (macOS) status icon
Right click the ZTC icon in your system tray bar or menu bar to open the contextual menu.
From the contextual menu you can:
- Click Open Client to bring up the client window.
- Click Authenticate Now to authenticate with your service.
- Click Logout to sign out.
- Click Exit Client to close the client.
Exiting the client or logging out of the service may render your enterprise resources inaccessible until you authenticate again. Make sure to save your work before closing the client or logging out.
The client icon changes, depending on the status of the client:
Client Icon | Client Status |
---|---|
Access:
Threat Protection:
| |
Access:
Threat Protection:
| |
The client is not connected, not configured or disabled. | |
Client update is available. | |
Access or Threat Protection:
|
If you have both Access and Threat Protection configured in your client, the component with a higher priority status takes precedence.
For example:
If your Access status is Authenticated and your Threat Protection status is Not Protected, the client icon displays a warning ().
Depending on your operating system and its color theme, the tray bar or menu bar status icons might slightly differ from the ones shown here.
