Configure the mobile client
When you install the mobile client for the first time or reset your client to the default settings, you need to configure your client by authenticating with your service provider. You can set up ZTC with the configuration wizard by providing your organization’s IDP or client activation code (Threat Protection only).
Configure Zero Trust Client on iOS
To configure Zero Trust Client on your mobile device, you need to enter your organization’s identity provider (IDP) hostname or your SIA activation code.
Activate Zero Trust Client on iOS with your IDP
This configuration path lets you activate both Access and Threat Protection, if available.
- Open Zero Trust Client from your home screen.
Zero Trust Client configuration wizard opens. - Enter your organization's identity provider (IdP) hostname.
Enter the IdP hostname without the
https://
protocol prefix.
- Tap Login.
- In “AkamaiEAA” wants to use "<your IDP hostname>" to sign in, tap Continue.
- Your default browser opens. Authenticate with your organization’s SSO to continue.
- Back in Zero Trust Client, tap Install VPN.
- Tap Allow to let Zero Trust Client add a VPN configuration.
A VPN icon appears in your status bar. - The Activity tab displays User Logged In. You can now access your enterprise applications.
Activate Zero Trust Client on iOS with your activation code
This configuration path lets you activate Threat Protection only. If you have both EAA and SIA licenses available in your contract, it is recommended that you activate the client with your organization’s IDP hostname instead.
- Open Zero Trust Client from your home screen.
Zero Trust Client configuration wizard opens. - Enter the client activation code you received from your IT administrator.
- Tap Login.
- Tap Install VPN.
- Tap Allow to let Zero Trust Client add a VPN configuration.
A VPN icon appears in your status bar. - The Activity tab displays User Logged In. Your device is now protected.

To configure Zero Trust Client on your mobile device, you need to enter your organization’s identity provider (IDP) hostname or your SIA activation code.
