Ion is a suite of intelligent performance optimizations and controls that help to deliver superior website and iOS or Android app experiences. It combines the scalability of ​Akamai​'s global content delivery platform with fast, dynamic content acceleration. Ion also leverages ​Akamai​'s cellular optimizations, which lower both latency and user engagement disruptions.

Tutorials

• Deliver your first site. Use recommended services and best practices to get a basic site or app on the ​Akamai​ network.
• Build on the cloud. Create cloud-based compute instances to store and manage your website for distribution through the ​Akamai​ network.
• Protect connections with mTLS (Limited Availability). Set up mutual TLS-secured (mTLS) web connections so that both a requesting client and the ​Akamai​ edge server validate the identity of one another.
• Improve page load performance. Leverage real-user monitoring data through Adaptive Acceleration to speed up delivery of your site's assets.
• Reduce poor script performance. Add Script Management to gather information about JavaScript usage on your site. Use that information to allow or deny scripts that might be affecting delivery to clients.
