License requirements

You need at least one of the following licenses to deploy the agent:

• ​Akamai​ Enterprise Application Access (EAA)
• ​Akamai​ Secure Internet Access Enterprise (SIA)
• ​Akamai​ Guardicore Segmentation

Device hardware

Guardicore Platform Agent supports various computer types, including desktops and laptops. It is also compatible with Virtual Machines (VMs). However, running Guardicore Platform Agent on VMs may require additional setup and is not a recommended solution for most users.
Ensure that the host computer has at least 200 MB of free disk space to install and run the agent application.

Multiuser environments

• Access supports multiuser Windows environments.
• Threat Protection supports multiuser Windows and macOS environments if Guardicore Platform Agent is enabled with the Threat Protection service only.
