Create an authentication token

To use Sandbox for testing property changes, you need to create an API client that contains both the Sandbox and Property Manager APIs with read-write access. Follow the steps in Create authentication credentials to learn how to configure authentication credentials to access the API.

When you create an authentication token to access an API service, the token inherits permissions associated with the identified username. If the API client was created based on a user that has a custom role, you need to confirm in ​Akamai Control Center​ that the custom role has Sandbox - Edit and Sandbox - View only permissions assigned.
