You can create API tokens for your account to enable API clients to authenticate themselves.

Create an API token

To add an API token to an account, follow this procedure.

  1. Log in to your MSL5 account and select ☰> Access Management >API Token.

  2. Click on the Add token icon.

Add new token fields.

  1. Enter a name for the token.
    Select the expiry date for the token. You can select between:
  • 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 Year validity from the date of creation.
  • Validity till a date and time of your choice.

Set a validity till date.

  1. Select the Contract IDs and the Groups that the token applies to.
  2. Click Create Token.
  3. You are prompted for confirmation.

  1. Click Create Token.
  2. The token is created and appears in the token list.

View the details of an API token

To view the details of an API token, click on the line of the token in the token list or select View Token from the Action menu.

Copy an API token

To copy an API token, navigate to the API Key column on the icon located on the line of the token in the token list.

Disable an API token

To disable an active API token, click on the token Action button and select Disable token from the pop-up menu.

Delete an API token

Only an expired token can be deleted.
Select an expired token, click on the token Action button, and select Delete token from the pop-up menu.
