Use EAA client with TCP and UDP applications
The EAA Client supports Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP) applications. It is tested and verified for use with the applications listed in the below table.
Application protocol | Example application |
---|---|
TCP | Secure Shell (SSH) applications such as PuTTY Remote Desktop (RDP) applications such as Microsoft Remote Desktop Client Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) applications such as WinSCP Outlook (2013, 2016) |
UDP | Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) |
While the Enterprise Application Access for Gov (EAA for Gov) solution supports some of these applications through a browser, EAA Client lets an enterprise establish tunnel connectivity between the user's local TCP or UDP application and the EAA for Gov solution. For example, EAA for Gov currently supports SSH and RDP applications by translating SSH and RDP sessions to HTML5, a format that can be presented in a browser. EAA Client now allows secure access to SSH and RDP using native clients on user computers.
