February 27, 2025 - Enterprise Application Access Updates
Enterprise Application Access (EAA) updates
Akamai EAA new features
Customized Footers for Login Portal. You can enable or disable the footer on the Login Portal page and also customize it for your organization.
Associate Connector Pools to EAA Application. You can associate connector pools to an application directly to serve the application traffic. It also enables you to add or remove connectors without any redeployment of the application. This feature can be enabled by contacting Akamai support.
Disable Client Download options from Login Portal. You can disable the option to download the EAA Client or AZT Client on the Login Portal page for your end-users.
Edge Transport based Tunnel Applications. For latency-sensitive tunnel applications, you can significantly improve the performance by using the novel Edge Transport architecture in the Akamai Connected cloud. This is a beta feature and can be enabled by contacting Akamai support.
Print files using the modern RDP user interface. You can use the modern RDP experience to print preview files and also print large files to pdf or to your local printer easily.
Fixed customer bugs
- Users in Directories can be sorted by Updated column, to see the most recent changes.
- When an Application has a comma in the name as a character, it doesn’t show up in search filters in Application Access Report.
- When you assign a new user to an additional group in the Cloud Directory, the Save option does not appear. This has been fixed.
- When you use ICAP services, you must use M for Megabytes for Max File Size. For example, if you want to pass 500 Megabytes, use 500M for Max File Size, in the Application’s Services > ICAP option.
Known issues
- You cannot print password-protected files with the modern RDP user interface when using Adobe Acrobat.
- Locked PDF files cannot be printed when using a custom print driver and Adobe Acrobat.
- When you try to access an RDP application on an Explorer 11 version browser, you get an internal error after logging into the IdP Login Portal.
- Your existing RDP Applications with the following configuration in the Advanced Settings (figure 1) will not be updated to the new modified Advanced Settings configuration (figure 2), when the application is re-deployed.
