Overview

Settings represent the foundational layer of an environment’s configuration.

When you select an Akamai product during workspace creation, Delivery Manager automatically applies a predefined, optimized group of features to your environment. Pre-populated based on industry best practices, these settings are ready-to-use.

Architecturally, settings reside inside the default rule set at the very top of your configuration tree. They apply globally to all incoming requests unless you override them with more granular or conditional logic in the Rule sets tab.

You can adjust, enable, or disable individual features from the Settings tab. Any modifications you make are synchronized automatically with the Default settings rule under the Default rule set.
