Sep 2, 2026 – Update to API Acceleration property configurations

  • The following feature changes are now standard for all API Acceleration property configurations:
    • Default Rule
      • We add the Minimize payload rule as a child rule in the Default Rule.
      • We move the Compressible Objects rule from the Performance rule into the Minimize payload child rule.
      • In the Compressible Objects child rule, the Content type match condition is updated with the following values:
        application/javascript, application/_javascript_, application/json, application/xml, application/text_, application/vnd-ms-fontobject, application/vnd.microsoft.icon, application/x-font-opentype, application/x-font-truetype, application/x-font-ttf, application/xmlfont/eot, font/eot, font/opentype, font/otf, image/svg+xml, image/vnd.microsoft.icon, image/x-icon, text/, application/octet-stream, application/x-font-eot_, font/ttf, application/font-ttf, application/font-sfnt, application/x-tgif, text/html_, text/css_, application/x-javascript_, application/javascript_, text/javascript_, text/plain_, text/xml_, application/vnd_, application/json*, application/x-javascript, application/x-json, application/+json, application/+xml, application/text
      • Origin Brotli Support is added to Minimize payload as a child rule, with the Brotli Support behavior set to “On”.
    • Augment insights
      • We add a new rule Augment insights to align the API Acceleration property configurations with the Ion property configurations.
      • Enhanced Debug moves from the Default Rule to the Augment insights rule as a child rule.
    • Accelerate delivery
    • Offload origin
      • We rename the Offload rule to Offload origin.
      • The Validate Entity Tag (ETag) behavior is set to “On”, with the Allow non-strict Strong ETags and Support Weak ETags options also set to “On”.
    • Strengthen security
