Sep 2, 2026 – Update to API Acceleration property configurations

- The following feature changes are now standard for all API Acceleration property configurations:
- Default Rule
- We add the Minimize payload rule as a child rule in the Default Rule.
- We move the Compressible Objects rule from the Performance rule into the Minimize payload child rule.
- In the Compressible Objects child rule, the Content type match condition is updated with the following values:

- Augment insights
- We add a new rule Augment insights to align the API Acceleration property configurations with the Ion property configurations.
- Enhanced Debug moves from the Default Rule to the Augment insights rule as a child rule.
- Accelerate delivery
- We rename the Performance rule into the Accelerate delivery rule.
- We add the Origin connectivity rule as a child rule with the DNS Asynchronous Refresh behavior moved here from the Performance rule.
- We add the Protocol optimizations rule as a child rule with the following behaviors added or moved here from the Performance rule:
- HTTP/3
- HTTP/2
- SureRoute
- Chunked Transfer Encoding
- Early Data (0-RTT) set to “On”
- Early Data (0-RTT) Advanced with the Supported HTTP Methods option set to “GET” and the Query String Parameters option set to “Deny”.
- Offload origin
- We rename the Offload rule to Offload origin.
- The Validate Entity Tag (ETag) behavior is set to “On”, with the Allow non-strict Strong ETags and Support Weak ETags options also set to “On”.
- Strengthen security
- We add the Allowed methods rule as a child rule in Strengthen security and move here the following behaviors from the Default Rule:
