Create a key collection

Key collections are top-level components of the API keys and traffic management application. Inside key collections, you can create and manage API keys effectively, edit access control lists for endpoints and resources, and set user quota limits. To start working with API keys, you must first create a key collection.

You can also complete this task by using the API Keys and Traffic Management API. Run the Create a key collection operation.

1. In API Keys and Traffic Management, in the Key collections list on the left, click .

2. In the Add key collection window, in the Collection name field, enter a name for the collection.

3. From the Access control group menu, select the group of users that you want to have access to keys in the collection. Each group includes also its associated contract in parentheses.

API

You can only select the access control group during the creation of a key collection. This field cannot be edited at a later time.

4. Optional: In the Notes field, enter additional information related to the collection.
5. Click Save.
