Akamai EAA new features

Network Zones for Authentication. Added the ability to define multiple network zones and control the enforcement of Certificate Verification, Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), and Bypass MFA based on a defined set of Network Zones. This provides greater flexibility and customization for your identity provider authentication policy.

EAA Client for Ubuntu. This is the initial release of the EAA Client for Ubuntu. It has been tested by the QA team and has been in technical preview with a few customers. While Akamai is confident in the client, we are releasing it as Limited Availability (LA). Please report any issues found through AkaTec. Additional AntiMalware Detection on MacOS. Added the ability for EAA Device Posture to detect the presence of Cylance and Microsoft Defender on MacOS.

Application Pinning. You can pin applications so that they appear at the top of the Applications list page.
Akamai EAA Client end of support/service

EAA Client version 2.4.0, 2.4.1, 2.5.2, 2.5.3 End of Service / Support - From August 31, 2022, Akamai will no longer support EAA Client versions 2.4.0 and 2.4.1. From November 30, 2022, Akamai will no longer support EAA Client versions 2.5.2 and 2.5.3. These are the last dates to receive any support for these product versions. After these dates, these versions are obsolete and no support will be available.

Product Migration. For customers using EAA Client versions prior to 2.4.0, migrating to newer EAA Client versions will require the older EAA Client to be uninstalled before the newer EAA Client is installed.
EAA limitations
- On MAC machines with M1 chipset, we do not support service for docker connector.
Fixed customer bugs
- On a mobile device, the organization logo does not overlap the menu icon and MFA prompt page on the IdP login portal.
- SAML tokens are issued correctly when the SAAS application (Enhanced Client or Proxy - ECP) is used with Akamai IdP.
- Fixed issues with troubleshooting tools (ping, telnet, ldapsearch, tcpdump) for the docker connector.
- Intermittent RDP white screen issue while changing the network on the end user machines has been fixed.
- When the EAA client is switched with a 3rd party VPN or vice versa, interoperability issues are fixed.
- Performing multiple manual syncs with addition and deletion of users within a short span of time, will not cause any user sync issues Active Directory.
- When user logs in to the IdP during the password expiry threshold (configured in the password management section of the directory), you get the “Password Expiry Notification” correctly.
